Afterthoughts

When I saw the suggestion of writing about my favorite exercises, I gave it some thought. Finally, I came up with swimming. After I wrote it, a few more things came to mind. First, swimming at the beach is the best. In my youth, I spent hour after hour playing in the waves. There is just nothing better and so many different ways.

Even today, I would love to live near a beach, even if it was to stand just among the waves. It’s just really great. Alas, today, the beaches are effectively reserved for those who have a lot of money, or during the winter.

There is also a type of exercise I really liked. Perhaps the reason I didn’t immediately think about it is because I only did it once. It was at an amusement park close to Long Beach with a friend. The 2 of us paid for half an hour workout on trampolines.

I must say, I would have loved to go on hours. The next day, I am so glad I had only enough money for the half hour. I was so soar I could hardly stand, let alone walk.

It totally came on by surprise. I was in junior high and in really good shape, well maybe not as good as I thought. Since then, I have not found a place that rented trampolines by the half hour. Well, maybe, just recently. I think there is a place up the street. I am so tempted to look inside to verify it. I just might be crazy enough to try it. I would either have a blast or kill myself. On the other hand I might break my neck. It is a time to remember I am 76.

On the other hand, if I didn’t hurt myself, I just might get in the best shape of my life.
