Non-violent Crime

Every day, and night, we are treated to one commercial after the next about ID theft and home theft. We are encouraged to buy their product so that someone can’t steal our house or our identification.

Why is that? Because ID theft is simple and, if a person is caught, they are rarely prosecuted. And why, may I ask, aren’t they locked up? Simple. No one gets physically hurt.

The victims likely suffer psychological & economically in ways and beyond measure. It has been a pain to our national economy but, apparently, that doesn’t matter. The hours spent in court getting these things straight must be in the millions, let alone the loss in productivity as the because of people off the job while fighting the harm, no not physically, but to family, reputation and even to the businesses they work for.

  1. laws to to be stronger
  2. violators must me encarcerated
  3. methods of finding violations and violators must be enhanced
  4. methods for securing home titles and personal IDs. Why must we make it so easy to steal that which is just almost as important to us as life.

Why should Americans have to pay for security that ought to be a protection of our governments.

Then, perhaps, maybe, possibly, we won’t have to watch so many ads for promotion of spending our hard earned money to do that which should be done by Uncle Sam, or state government.
