I am 76 years old. I have memories of my father fixing the flushing mechinism on our toilet back when I was 5. Might be wrong, but I suspect that my grandson will either fix or pay a plumber to fix his toilet on a regular basis when he is 76.
Maybe it will be that he will have children that will go through such annoyances on a regular basis. Do those highly schooled, highly paid engineers even want to take on such problems?
Of course not. I guess it is far more important to design packaging that cannot be penetrated with a decent pair of scissors.
So, this is what our current youth have to look forward to. Overkill on packaging and jiggling toilets. Well, I am sure they will figure a few more ways to annoy us. They will leave the things off the cars we need and put the things on autos that won’t serve any purpose at all.
To be sure, it is what they are trained to do. It is what they are paid for. As they retire, they look back on life imagining all the annoyance their designs have caused us.
Really, over 100 years and we still have to jiggle toilets.
