My Question…

With the driveway all iced over, will it be my wife or me to slip and break bones first. Whenever we go to the car together, I try to steady her. Then, of course, who will steady me.

I didn’t know it at the time but those who are on the south side of the street have, by far, the bigger problem with ice and snow. At our age, about all we can do is hope and pray for it to warm up before one of us is killed on the way to the auto.

I have no right to complain. Many are without electricity and/or water. Some are businesses with fixed weekly costs, which conceivably includeds getting the ice cleared from parking and walkways.

Well, this is me, staying inside and praying for a little warmer weather for all of us in the mid-south. Sorry. Those in and around Chicago will have to deal with the deep freeze on their own. I need to concentrate my efforts closer to home, like out the front door.
