Just a Few Notes to my Readers

One thing that has surprised me when I started this blog is that there are people all over the world that have read my posts and for that I thank you very much. I never imagined that people from India or Africa would want to read what I have written. Actually, I am a little surprised that people in the next county would want to read anything I wrote.

Sorry, sometimes I get a little wordy. Sometimes, that would be a big understatement. I try to stay short and to the point. I guess one reason that the posts are so long is that I am a person who likes to deal in examples. Many times, by the time I am done with the example, I’ve already exceeded my intentional length. On the other hand, I get on this keyboard and I just don’t know when to quit.

At any rate, the main purpose of this post is to thank my many readers. Word Press does provide me with some info on those who read my writing, sort of enough to make me curious. For instance, does that person in China know English or does Word Press provide a translation?

That individual who read one of my posts in Africa… Just what sort of person is he or she? Naturally, I do wonder about how people put up with my grammar mistakes. I really do proof read all my posts, sometimes four or five times. It just is, not only do I write poorly, but I edit even worse.

When I first started out, I was afraid people would find out too much about me. It sort of doesn’t bother me anymore. Among other things, not that many people read what I write. It is difficult to get a good idea of how many read a specific post but I would guess that, maybe in a few cases, it is 150. I don’t know, but I would suspect that what I write is passed on through whatever other means. Maybe I have been quoted a few times too. It’s okay. You need not even credit me. Well, that is the hope anyway. That might mean that, maybe 300 have read something I wrote.

That’s a little disappointing. I had hopes of reaching thousands.

When I first started out, I was given a choice. If I allowed advertisers, it would be free. If I paid a little, then there would not be any ads other than any I might put in. I guess most of you can figure which one I chose. I was afraid that some of the advertisers would object to what I wrote, especially GM. I don’t know if that would have happened. However, now GM has no say so over what I write.

Also, thankfully, Word Press has not sent me any notes about my political views. Then again, that might be subject to change the way things are going. It is very conceivable that they are receiving a little pressure from that woke crowd.
